Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This presidential session invites participants to engage with a panel of distinguished interdisciplinary scholars to examine how race and racism shape educational resource allocation within and across K-12 public schools. The session will include a dynamic dialogue around how school finance reforms can be reimagined to remedy the harms of the past and offer all students opportunities to thrive and flourish today and in the future. By bridging theory with practice, the session aims to generate insights for policymakers, educators, and researchers working towards racial justice in education. Aligned with the conference theme "Research, Remedy, and Repair," this session aims to inspire attendees to become more effective advocates for equity and racial justice in their respective roles and communities.
