Session Type: Paper Session
In our current work on DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion), there is a lack of emphasis on our
commonality as coming from the same Source, our abilities to indwelling each other and touch
the source of each other. There is a lack of exploration of effective methods that would open up
our ability to delve into the deep levels of our identity, which concerns our spiritual and divine
nature. A lot of work remains at the superficial, performative level. We can draw a lot of insights
from wisdom traditions to expand the mission and vision of DEI work. In this panel, we explore
perspectives from Taoism, Hinduism, African Ubuntu philosophy, ecological perspectives, and a
place-based perspective on DEI.
