Session Type: Symposium
This symposium responds to the title question through three examples of leading educational research from the USA, Canada and the UK showcased by The BERA Guide to Decolonising the Curriculum: Equity and Inclusion in Educational Research and Practice. In discussion of overlapping themes of insight through our comparative lenses, we will explore what might be the next steps in advancing this field of educational research across local, national and global contexts in the midst of right-wing populism and woke backlash towards critical race theory, multiculturalism and cultural diversity as educational policy for equity and inclusion in education, teaching and learning.
