Session Type: Symposium
In this interactive symposium, we propose to continue our learning journey with Division K members. We will hear from successful RPP stakeholders who have worked with The NYC Early Childhood Research Network (The Network). We offer considerations for how successful RPPs supported by The Network can inform broader RPPs across teacher education. We will also hear from early childhood education practitioners who are members or alumni of teacher education programs to address questions of the spacialization of official knowledge creation. This interactive symposium will consist of: an introduction and definition of RPPs with a focus on spacialized equity in RPP design, paper talks featuring the voices of researchers, teachers, New York City leaders and administrators, and practitioners in one early childhood education program, discussant remarks, and a Q & A session.
