This study examines the use of a mobile application to capture meaningful workplace experiences of student teachers as a resource for classroom management learning. This study analyzed student teachers’ logged experiences to explore their use of the app within a Dutch teacher education program. The majority of recorded experiences concerned creating productive learning environments and building positive teacher–student relationships and were predominantly accompanied by positive emotions. These experiences were mostly based on their personal experience; fewer entries drew from interactions with others, and theoretical knowledge. The findings suggest that mobile technology can support meaningful workplace learning when embedded in guided reflective practice. However, the limited integration of formal theory highlights the importance of bridging practical experiences with theoretical insights.
