This study looks at how ChatGPT might support school leadership and professional development for educators in Nigeria. Drawing on data from ECHO Education Nigeria, a platform where Nigerian educators come together to tackle problems of practice, and using a comparative case study approach guided by Sensemaking Theory, we analyzed five problems of practice, comparing AI responses with those provided by Nigerian educators. While ChatGPT provided clear and structured advice, it often missed the emotional depth, cultural understanding, and real-world insight that educators shared. The findings suggest that AI can be a helpful tool, but it cannot replace human judgment at the heart of strong leadership and learning.
