Abstract

Teacher perspectives on strategies for student behavior support in inclusive classrooms are necessary to inform teacher preparation and professional development opportunities. This study examined the views of 191 general education teachers (K-6) from inclusive classrooms across diverse settings. The qualitative findings revealed two interrelated themes related to teachers’ use and understanding of student support strategies and teachers’ reliance on peer learning over formal preparation or professional development.
