Abstract

Engaged learning course data from a large Midwest Jesuit university were matched to 3 years of the Graduate Experiences Survey (GSE). Initial findings indicate that students taking service-learning courses report significantly higher levels of preparedness in some items of the GSE. Results of other students taking other types of engaged learning courses may reflect their more rooted involvement in their courses.
