The rapid development of GenAI has prompted many higher education instructors to engage in self-initiated use of GenAI for instructional design. Teachers’ emotional experiences in this informal interaction are essential because they directly impact their continuous use of advanced technologies for teaching innovation. Few studies have examined teachers’ emotional experiences in these engagements and how emotions influence creativity.
