This session explores Indonesian EFL pre-service teachers’ experiences integrating generative AI tools in their teaching practicum. Drawing on data from interviews, reflective journals, and teaching artifacts, the presenters examine how mentoring can empower pre-service teachers to use AI ethically and effectively. The session highlights both the pedagogical benefits, such as idea generation, efficiency, and personalized material design, and challenges, including overreliance, ethical concerns, and misleading content. Attendees will receive mentoring frameworks and AI integration strategies to support future-ready language educators.
