This qualitative study explores how an Open Educational Resource (OER) on Texas Public School Law reimagines principal preparation by enhancing instructional leadership, legal literacy, and reflective practice among graduate students in a South Texas Educational Administration program. Guided by the LEPO framework and Transformational Leadership theory, the research analyzes open-ended survey responses from students enrolled in EDAM 5322. Findings reveal that the OER fostered accessible, context-specific learning through real-world application, ethical reflection, and scenario-based engagement. Students praised its clarity, flexibility, and relevance, while recommending enhancements for interactivity and broader stakeholder inclusion. Aligned with the 2026 AERA theme, Unforgetting Histories and Imagining Futures, this study demonstrates how open-access resources can bridge legal foundations with future-ready school leadership.
