Abstract

Increasing numbers of individuals with disabilities are attending colleges and universities. Although reasonable accommodations from universities’ office of disability services can provide access to course content and remove barriers to learning, students with disabilities still report limitations in receiving these supports. The purpose of this self-study is to examine and determine the efficacy of the instructional practices and supports embedded into my instruction to support students with disabilities. Data includes questionnaires, student coursework, reflections, and teaching materials. Analysis will reveal student perceptions of inclusive teaching practices and accessibility of course materials. Additionally, I will share the impact on my teaching practices as I prepare the next generation of teacher educators.
