Abstract

This research aimed to examine the heterogeneity of ideation among a group of undergraduate students in Türkiye. The participants (n = 445) completed the 23-item Runco Ideational Behavior Scale and the Kaufman Domains of Creativity Scale. The former was used to identify distinct ideation patterns, while the latter was administered to examine how the participants in each latent ideation class expressed creative potential. The latent class analysis revealed three separate ideation classes: low-ideation, average-ideation, and high-ideation. Multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that age did not significantly impact to which class the participants belonged. Gender showed a stastically significant effect on class membership. These results suggest that identifying latent ideation classes may offer valuable insight when studying creativity and related factors.
