As AI tools become more integrated into education, teacher professional development (PD) must address not only how to use AI, but also how to use it transparently and ethically. This study examined teacher engagement with AI across 14 course assignments in a fully asynchronous professional learning master-level course designed around the AI Assessment Scale (AIAS). We analyzed disclosure patterns and usage trends in AI-allowed assignments (N = 14). Results showed a gradual increase in AI use over time, with 20–30% of teachers consistently disclosing usage. Many teachers also chose to submit statements even when not using AI, signaling a growing culture of transparency. Findings offer insight into the role of structured expectations in supporting responsible AI use in teacher learning environments.
