Using the equity practices described in Five Practices for Equity-Focused School Leadership, this study explored how educators working in community schools engaged in equity-focused leadership practices. Using directed qualitative content analysis, researchers analyzed open-ended survey responses from 34 participants from community schools across the United States. Findings highlight how community school practitioners, including principals and teachers, implement justice-oriented approaches such as data-informed interventions, culturally responsive teaching, broadening participation, and collaborative leadership structures as a mechanism for addressing inequities in their schools
