University-High School Partnership: An Evaluation Study

Abstract

This proposal is an evaluation study of a three-year arts initiative -- Music Fellows Program -- between The Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University in CT and the Regional Center for the Arts (RCA), a regional public high school located near the university. First, some context.

In addition to providing world-class entertainment for the Fairfield University community and beyond, the Quick Center for the Arts is committed to outreach. Arts for All is their philosophy that drives many high-caliber arts learning and experiences to K-12 students in the community, with particular focus on those students in under-resourced communities. For this initiative, the Quick is proud to partner with the Bridgeport Public Schools, an urban under-resourced school district.
