The purpose of this conceptual paper is to theorize the possibilities of Trap Feminist Economics in contributing to a postwork imagination within the field of Career and Technical Education (CTE). Drawing from feminist perspectives of economics (Esquivel, 2020; Shanks & Hall, 2021), a Trap Feminist approach reconceptualizes the concept of work by giving attention to unpaid labor, well-being, agency, ethics, community, and positionality. Aligning with Lorde’s (1984) essay on the Uses of the Erotic, Trap Feminist Economics declares that our work must connect to our passions, desires, and curiosities; it must be something we love, even at its most difficult.
