Factors Associated with Retention in a Randomized Couple Education Program

Abstract

This study examines predictors of retention among 881 low-to-moderate income couples enrolled in Project Harmony, a randomized trial comparing in-person and online relationship education programs. Preliminary logistic regression analyses indicate that higher pre-survey motivation, female gender, higher education level, and proactive recruitment methods significantly increase the likelihood of program completion. In contrast, delivery format, age, and income were not significant predictors. Findings will inform strategies to improve engagement in relationship education programs serving underserved populations.
