Abstract

This study applies BERTopic to analyze 4,461 empirical articles on teacher education, constructing a comprehensive knowledge framework. We identify 29 research topics and synthesize them into five structural dimensions: theoretical foundations, implementation pathways, institutional frameworks, performance outcomes, and interdisciplinary integration. These dimensions form a nested model—linking core concepts, practice, policy, and global responsiveness. The theoretical base supports conceptual development; implementation pathways connect theory and practice; institutional frameworks provide structural sustainability; performance outcomes validate effectiveness; and interdisciplinary integration addresses evolving sociocultural contexts. This framework illustrates the field’s evolution from foundational ideals to applied and institutionalized forms. It advances research by clarifying hierarchical relationships across domains, offering actionable insights for curriculum developers, scholars, and policymakers in teacher education.
