Despite the increase in Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) programs, students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) have not seen integration into all aspects of higher education. Study abroad activities remain an undeveloped area of participation despite interest from IPSE students. We use practitioner inquiry and a Disability Studies of Education (DSE) lens to understand the experiences of a mix of matriculated and IPSE students and four staff during a 2-week inclusive study abroad program in Italy. Participants were interviewed before and after their experience to share their expectations, knowledge, and provide feedback for future iterations. Initial findings show that participants benefitted from the experience due to shared cultural experiences, planned and unplanned support, and learning from a variety of perspectives.
