Abstract

This study introduces and validates the IMPACT model—a six-dimension framework for assessing adolescent aesthetic education: Perception, Imagination, Creativity, Moral Force, Aesthetic Judgment, and Tenacity. Drawing on classical aesthetic theory and contemporary developmental psychology, a 36-item instrument was constructed and refined via expert review and pilot testing. Two empirical studies were conducted in three major Chinese cities. Study 1 (n=476) used exploratory factor analysis to establish the structure; Study 2 (n=478) confirmed the model via CFA, revealing strong model fit and internal consistency. This research provides a theoretically grounded and empirically supported tool to examine the layered impacts of aesthetic education on youth development.
