Underlying philosophies of traditional methodologies and methods of research have been informed through Western ways of life, knowledges, experiences, cultures, and identities. The purpose of this study is to combat colonial constructs in education research through a duoethnography of two tenure-track Pilipina and Brazilian scholars. We put forth a methodology of being–a framework where one’s embodied intuition informs the process of inquiry. Findings from this study name and legitimize cultural intuition as a valid source of knowledge, which provide theoretical and methodological possibilities in imagining and constructing a new vision for education research.
