Sun, April 12, 1:45 to 3:15pm PDT (1:45 to 3:15pm PDT), JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, Floor: Ground Floor, Gold 4

Abstract

This study examined student perceptions of assessment types and strategies in online learning environments in the context of higher education. Specifically, we identified the most and least effective assessment types and strategies perceived by learners. We additionally explored the modality and frequency of feedback that learners preferred to receive on online assessments. Finally, the study investigated correlations between learners' perceptions of effective online assessments and their individual characteristics.
