Based on the needs identified in the literature review and this mixed-methods study, this proposal describes the Virginia New Teacher Support Program (VANTSP) as an innovative partnership supporting teacher development and student learning with evidence from two years of data (mid and end-of-year surveys of participants, coach professional development feedback, and coaching forms documenting coaching actions and interactions between coaches and early career teachers). The results of data gathered on evidence-based coaching contribute to the innovation and impact of coaching and support early-career teachers across the state. For example, the results of evidence-based coaching using the VANTSP coaching framework, coaching protocol, and PPPs/high-leverage practices provide insight into the innovation and impact on early-career teacher practices and student learning.
