Abstract

Creativity is a fundamental competence of innovative talent. While numerous studies have explored the factors influencing students’ creativity, there remains a lack of a unified framework and standardized tools for its assessment, which hinders the scientific identification of creative potential and the formulation of effective educational strategies. Therefore, this study systematically reviews classical creativity theories and measurement approaches, and introduces the EPPS framework, a comprehensive model for assessing creativity in college students. Based on this framework, a set of evaluation tools was developed and empirically validated. Compared to traditional assessment methods, the proposed tools offer a more rigorous, efficient, and scalable solution for large-scale creativity assessment.
