Abstract

This study examines the impact of a three-day AI integration workshop on university instructors’ self-efficacy in using artificial intelligence (AI) in their classrooms at the Lebanese International University (LIU). Using a pre- and post-intervention design, the study employed Sumandal’s (2023) Teachers’ Level of Self-Efficacy with AI questionnaire to measure changes in instructors’ confidence. Data from 99 participants showed a significant increase in self-efficacy after the workshop. The training included hands-on sessions with tools such as Co-pilot, Magic School, Eduaide.Ai, and Turnitin’s AI detection system, along with discussions on ethical use. Findings highlight the effectiveness of structured professional development in enhancing educators’ readiness to adopt AI tools and apply them meaningfully in real-world teaching contexts.
