Leading Professional Learning Networks of Future–Ready School Leaders in Hong Kong: Expert Principals' Perspective

Abstract

This study explores expert principals’ role in leading district-wide professional learning networks in a training program for future-ready school leaders in Hong Kong. Drawing on qualitative written structured interviews with expert principals, the research highlights their roles and the challenges faced by them in fostering a shared vision, leveraging expertise across schools, and creating learning environments in forming robust district-wide professional learning networks for future-ready school leaders. Recommendations are offered for educational policymakers and school management bodies in prioritizing the development and enhancement of professional networks through active engagement and guidance from experts in the educational field.
