Two Red River Métis Educational Researchers will share the lived realities of 41 Métis citizens from across the homeland who have taught K-12. Using Forsythe’s (2022) Intertwined Michif Methodology, which intertwines three Métis methodologies theorized by Métis women Keeoukaywin, Lii Taab di Faam Michif, and Kishkeeyihtamaaniwan Kaa-natohtamihk educators from across the Métis homeland were asked to share their experiences with recruitment, mentorship and retention. By visiting the kitchen table and listening deeply, the researchers will share the stories they have heard.
