Abstract

In this research project, we examined how students at a civics institute understand the relationship between civics and AI, their knowledge of AI, how they use it in civic inquiries, and its influence on their perceptions of civic engagement. We aim to identify whether statistically significant variables exist that enable students to engage more easily in effective digital media literacy. We examined how students understood the relationship between civics and AI, their knowledge of AI, how they use it in civic inquiries, and how they perceive its influence on civic engagement and social life. We aimed to understand the relationship between the cognitive, practical, and ecological aspects of AI and civic learning, and if any experiences or correlations impact them.
