Abstract

Art of Reciprocity offers a Native-led development and fundraising model that builds a strong foundation in philanthropic principles, rooted in Indigenous values and traditional ways of being. This curriculum supports both individual and organizational capacity building by centering Indigenous worldviews and holistic frameworks of balance, relationship, and responsibility. Designed by and for Native philanthropic professionals, this curriculum draws on traditional methodologies to guide participants through collaborative internal assessments and reflective learning. Art of Reciprocity is created and presented by Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP), a leading organization with over 30 years of experience uplifting Indigenous voices and honoring the rich cultural strengths of Indigenous communities.
