Abstract

This study examines the efficacy of Leisure Experience Reflection Activities in fostering community and peer-learning experiences among 239 undergraduate students across two academic semesters. Participants explored leisure activities outside the classroom in groups of peers with similar interests, discussing their shared experiences during structured class activities. Data were collected through student written reflections and analyzed using qualitative and network analysis methods. Findings highlight how shared leisure interests mediated peer interactions, community-building, and interest development through cognitive and social constructivist frameworks. Network analysis revealed distinct thematic clusters across semesters representing different aspects of learning and social connection. Results demonstrate the practical applicability of structured leisure reflection activities in promoting meaningful peer learning and community engagement longitudinally.
