The purpose of this research synthesis is to provide research-based implications for future scholarship and practice on global education, an educational approach that emphasizes the interconnectedness of world communities. As globalization accelerates, the need for global education has grown across nations, including the United States. Yet, there remains a limited understanding of what global education looks like in practice, particularly in middle grades settings. This research synthesis examines how elements of global education are currently being implemented to foster global perspectives among young adolescents and provides insights to advance global education in the middle grades field.
