Abstract

Collaborative learning is prevalent in higher education, yet research rarely examines how students’ team health perceptions develop longitudinally. Using latent class growth analysis with 1,802 students across 10 survey waves, an unconditional model identified five trajectory classes, which consolidated into three when demographic and contextual predictors were included: Consistently High, Moderately Improving, and Decline with Partial Recovery. A one-step conditional model revealed that White, male, and international students had higher odds of experiencing optimal team trajectories. We conclude by discussing implications of these findings for teaching practice.
