This study examines the impact of spiritual engagement on the emotional health of undergraduate STEM students, using data from the Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP). Findings reveal that spiritual engagement, measured by time spent praying or meditating, significantly improves emotional health, even after accounting for demographic characteristics, institutional factors, and college experiences. The study also compares STEM and non-STEM students, finding that non-STEM students engage in more spiritual activities. The results suggest that integrating spiritual engagement into college environments may enhance STEM students' emotional well-being, supporting the need for holistic development in higher education and encouraging further research on long-term impacts.
