Abstract

This paper centers narratives and understanding of the impact of Native American tuition waiver programs. This study will expand on the initial study that sought to understand the landscape of Native tuition waivers and their origins. This study rooted in Indigenous research methodologies and will provide narratives of tuition waivers impact from administrators, staff, and Native American student recipients. It will provide an expanded understanding of how institutions and states are acknowledging educational sovereignty during the times of anti-DEI and honor Native Nation building.
