Abstract

Interest in AI has grown exponentially in both academia and industry over the past few decades. With this surge in societal interest, cultivating a workforce capable of utilizing AI and advancing AI research has become recognized as a strategic priority for national development (The White House, 2025). As AI applications become essential across all fields, it is crucial to leverage the current heightened interest in AI to enhance AI literacy. There is a pressing need to innovate education across the K-20 spectrum to enable individuals to effectively use AI in their respective domains and careers, leading to creative outcomes. This study aims to investigate the trends and conceptual frameworks in AI interest research over the past 15 years.
