Abstract

Focusing on the insights provided by Mexican caregivers, we sought to gain insights into Mexican caregivers’ practices with educational media and bilingual learning applications at home. We conducted in-depth interviews with families to gain a comprehensive understanding of the variety of educational media they consume, including streaming platforms, bilingual apps, and engaging educational games that range from foundational skills to musical instruments. Findings indicate that caregivers discussed school advice on screen time and their use of technology, highlighting collaborations with schools to support early childhood education. They emphasized the importance of academic success along with strong moral values. The insights from these families enhance the practical application of theoretical frameworks in real-world contexts.
