This proposed study uses administrative data from elementary schools in Georgia to examine disparities in school-climate perceptions and factors predicting them. This study aims to understand the racial school climate gap in elementary schools in the state, identify whether any such disparities are driven by between or within school factors, and understand the different protective factors at the school level that enable lower racial school climate gaps especially for Black and Hispanic students. This study contributes to the evolving literature on racial school climate gaps and provides crucial insights in racial school climate gaps in elementary schools in Georgia.
