Abstract

Guided by the theory of decompensation, this study aims to determine the mediating effect of school bullying in the relationship between group discrimination and students' smartphone addiction, and the moderating role played by teacher support on the impact of group discrimination on school bullying and students' mobile phone addiction. This study used random sampling to survey 1386 primary and secondary school students in Chinese mainland. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between group discrimination and students' smartphone addiction. Teacher support played a moderating role in the relationship between group discrimination and school bullying, and could alleviate the impact of group discrimination on school bullying.
