Abstract

Bullying among children and adolescents has emerged as a widespread global issue. Its consequences extend beyond individual harm, carrying the potential to escalate into broader public safety threats. In light of these detrimental effects, researchers have increasingly investigated the antecedents of bullying behavior. Although numerous studies have explored the influence of attachment on bullying, their findings remain inconsistent. To address this gap, the present meta-analysis synthesized existing research on the topic. Results revealed a significant association between secure attachment and bullying, with age moderating the strength of this relationship. These findings highlight the potential value of improving attachment quality as a strategy to mitigate bullying behavior.
