Abstract

This paper introduces the "Pedagogy of Consolation," a spiritual and bibliotherapeutic approach designed to support war-displaced populations in Israel coping with trauma. Drawing on weekly Torah portions (Parashat HaShavua), the method engages participants in reflective dialogue, fostering emotional resilience, meaning-making, and post-traumatic growth. Grounded in salutogenic theory, narrative therapy, and hermeneutic analysis, the study explores how sacred texts can function as emotional anchors in times of crisis. Using qualitative methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and textual analysis. Findings demonstrate that engaging with biblical narratives provides a source of comfort, spiritual connection, and renewed hope. This model offers an innovative educational and therapeutic framework relevant for crisis intervention and trauma-informed pedagogy in faith-based and multicultural settings.
