Oral Histories of Black Community College Presidents: A critical race discourse analysis

Abstract

We analyze oral history interviews with Black community college presidents. We examine their language to understand how their experiences with racism shape their agency and leadership. This study has implications for research methods, including the use of oral histories and critical discourse analysis, in the context of community college leadership.
