The scientific literature highlights the importance of improving teacher training to achieve an impact on socialization in gender equality and violence prevention. This research analyzes the teacher training in a special education school in Spain, through Dialogic Feminist Gatherings (DFGs), and studies the contribution of this successful educational action to achieving effective equality between women and men and preventing violence. The communicative methodology made it possible to obtain reports from the participants in relation to three categories of analysis: scientific knowledge; union of theory and practice; teachers’ critical capacity.
The results show that DFGs contributed to expanding the knowledge on the subject; increasing the possibility of implementing educational actions with students; and transforming the perspective of action on the subject.
