Sat, April 11, 11:45am to 1:15pm PDT (11:45am to 1:15pm PDT), Los Angeles Convention Center, Floor: Level Two, Poster Hall - Exhibit Hall A

Abstract

Teacher self-efficacy is a critical factor for professional growth and key to teacher agency. Self-efficacy plays a role in a multitude of positive outcomes for both teachers and their students. Similarly, creative self-efficacy in teaching is an important precursor to teachers’ growth in affect, motivation, and practice—for their overall creative agency in teaching. This mixed method study investigates the sources of teachers’ creative self-efficacy and agency development across a collaborative and creative professional development experience and explores the relationships between those sources of creative self-efficacy and key factors of teacher flourishing.
