Most parent-mediated interventions focused on Western contexts. This study examines the effectiveness of parent-mediated interventions in increasing social communication skills for children with ASD in Asia. Relevant studies were systematically identified using PRISMA frameworks and Covidence software across five databases. Eight studies were examined through a meta-analysis using JASP 0.14.0.0. The findings indicate that parent-mediated interventions with cultural responsiveness have a moderate and positive effect on social communication skills (g = 0.597, p = 0.008) and a slight impact on general communication abilities (g = 0.133, p = 0.367) of children with ASD in Asian countries. Addressing parental language proficiency has emerged as a critical component of culturally responsive approaches in parent-mediated interventions.
