Abstract

This paper examines protective interference, the strategic use of administrative roles, authority, and/or knowledge to generate protective cover and navigational guidance for vulnerable researchers and communities, analyzing how allies in positions of authority can implement systemic changes that protect marginalized scholars and research participants.
