This study investigated teacher job satisfaction and factors associated with teacher job satisfaction in four English-speaking countries, including Australia, Canada, UK, and US. It was a secondary data analysis of the Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) administered by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2018. Results revealed that more satisfaction was significantly associated with higher teacher self-efficacy, stronger teacher-student relationships, better teacher cooperation, and less stress. Teachers who considered teaching their first choice as a career reported significantly more satisfaction than those who did not. Teachers’ year at the school was not significantly associated with their satisfaction. The findings of this study can be used to inform policy and practice in teacher education.
