Abstract

In response to the growing need for future-ready competencies in secondary education, this study investigates the pedagogical effectiveness of LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) in fostering entrepreneurship, emotional resilience, and financial literacy. Conducted as part of the long-term LEGO Serious LAB project focusing on business education and entrepreneurship, this cross-sectional mixed-methods study involved 150 German Gymnasium students in single-session workshops. Results showed significant gains in self-efficacy, emotional engagement, and perceived topic relevance across all themes. LSP’s tactile, metaphor-driven approach promoted inclusive, student-centered learning. These findings align with multimedia learning and integral education theories, supporting LSP as a scalable, low-threshold tool to prepare students for complex, uncertain futures
