It has become increasingly apparent that teacher education is a vessel for change (Darling- Hammond et al., 2020) in which self-study bears a significant role of influence (Taylor & Diamond, 2020). This symposium explores three, Black female teacher educators’ experiences within the context of a predominantly White, undergraduate teacher preparation program in the southeastern United States. This session is centered around personal and professional tensions in the context of supervision: 1) How do we develop our espoused platforms for, in, and of supervision to navigate various facets of clinical practice? and 2) How have we developed and applied practices to strengthen school-university partnerships in the current sociopolitical climate?
