Abstract

This study explores how the multilayered identities of first-generation, Latinx, LGBTQ2+ transfer students shape their college journeys. Whiteness, heteronormativity, and settler colonialism pervade post-secondary institutions, creating layered structural barriers for this population. Using pláticas, a narrative-based interview method rooted in Latinx traditions, this study explores the college journeys of first-generation, Latinx, LGBTQ2+ transfer students.
